Free theme: Steampunk
Yeah! finally talking about a free topic ... but, what can I write about?
The truth is, a lot of things went through my head at this time, because there were a lot of things to write about. (it was very difficult)
So... after a long time, I've decided! the topic we're going to talk about today is:
*drumrolls*
It probably does not sound like anything, right? Well, I usually find it hard to find people who like this. And it's weird, because when I meet people that I like, we usually have many more topics in common and we forge a good friendship. (100% empirical until today: I've only met 2 people who know him)
In its beginnings it was a literary subgenre: today, it is an art. For many, a lifestyle; and for others, just strange clothes. The steampunk is an alternative world or alternative environment in history where the steam technology used in the Industrial Revolution never disappeared. Humanity and technology evolved (as our days) but without leaving the gears.
The best thing is that it makes you think "how far apart we were from this". And a good example is the automaton: A "robot" of those times that manages to write what the author sets. (the automaton have's 2500 pieces aprox!)
Something that must be highlighted: it is part of a harsh criticism of consumerism and current fashion, it is a counterculture.
It is simply fabulous. The aesthetics of this genre for me manages to preserve elegance, fiction and darkness at the same time.

Hi juampih! I must confess that i have never heard of that, but i find it really interesting and wonderful in a certain wat. I think if i read a book or see a movie about "Steampunk", i would be insterested
